Meet the Board

Dustin Pirc, President

Dustin Pirc, is a Major Accounts sales manager with Industrial Battery Products, a distributor of warehouse products specializing in energy solutions for both Motive Power and Commercial applications throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. His 17 year background includes positions in National Account Sales, New Business Development, Marketing and Supply Chain Management. Pirc’s experience includes management of key account operations, customer service relations, motive power solutions provider and warehouse design. Expertise also includes implementation of charging methods, CAD drawings, safety compliance training, quality control, asset management and energy savings.


Pirc studied at College of St. Francis and Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL with continuing education in business administration and marketing at Deka University in Lyon Station, PA.

Todd Gillis, Treasurer

Todd Gillis is currently President and Owner of Cayuga Global Sourcing Corporation and has been on the board of the Chicagoland Chapter of MHMS since the late 1990's.  Todd Gillis began his career in the Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing of Material Handling and Storage products for GAI (Gillis Associated Industries) in 1989.  He spent the next 5 years in distributor sales and sales management both regionally and nationally.  In 2005 he became President of TNT Steel Industries, which was the manufacturing arm of the business and 2 years later became president of the entire Gillis group of companies.  In 2000 after several years of positioning the business for a sale, the company was sold to a fortune 500 company.  Todd stayed on for 3 years before setting off to start Cayuga Global Sourcing Corporation in late 2003, which specializes in working with domestic companies to source products overseas.  Cayuga now works with clients anywhere from fortune 500 companies down to small specialty groups to provide them the best value using the global marketplace.

Noreen Ryan, VP Education

Noreen Ryan, CWLP is Vice President with First Logistics, a third party asset based provider of Warehousing and Transportation Services located in Alsip, Illinois. Her 30+ year background includes positions in generaloperational management, corporate staff, sales and marketing at a manufacturing company, global supply chain service providers and public warehouses.  Ryan’s experience includes management of contract and public warehouse operations with full responsibility for budgets, rates, P&L and customer relationships.  Expertise also includes management of operations, customer service, transportation, reverse logistics, design and implementation of specialized IT projects, quality programs, training, vendor compliance, safety, security and warehouse audits, and many operational start-ups.


Ryan has a BA in Business Administration from DePaul University,Chicago, Illinois where she is a professional advisor/mentor to DePaul students, and has attended graduate level courses at the University of South Florida and numerous association sponsored continuing education programs.

Tanya Kiefer, VP Programs

Tanya Kiefer is currently a Solutions Sales Engineer with Associated, the Chicagoland Raymond dealer, located in Addison, IL.  For a majority of her career, she was a Project Manager at 3 Corporate Headquarters in the Chicagoland area.  Her primary responsibilities as Project Manager were:  managing the Contract Real Estate portfolio of 100+ locations;  responsible for preparing the business case and presenting project recommendations to the CEO, CFO and the Executive Committee; construction project management; designing new facilities using current and future growth metrics and new technology in the marketplace; member of Network Study teams to analyze the distribution network capacity to handle current and future initiatives given the changing economy.  Her new role as of 2013 is selling material handling solutions and services to new and existing customers.  The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate the full sales cycle from prospecting to sales closure, and ensuring optimal customer satisfaction.  Kiefer is also responsible for identifying new accounts for focus and sales development to proactively create new business opportunities.


Kiefer has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northern Illinois University. 


Jim Schultz, Past President

Jim Schultz is a Past President of the Chicagoland Chapter of MHMS. His areas of expertise are inphysical distribution related to productivity improvement, materials handling, transportation, facilities planning, and logistics. Currently he is a consultant to mid-market organizations. He has assisted clients ininstituting improvements in distribution operations, network design, transportation costs, and facilities planning / execution. Before begining his own firm, Jim held various engineering management positions at W. W. Grainger in distribution and warehouse support functions. He holds a B.A. degree from Northeastern Illinois University and has been certified by MHMS as an Associate in Material Handling (CAMH).

Brad Thomas, Secretary

Brad Thomas, is the Manager, Facilities & Security for United Stationers, a Wholesale Distributor of Office, Cleaning, and Industrial Supplies. His 20 Years of experience includes managing Office Space including Safety, Security, Data Records, Furniture Configurations, Parcel and Freight Shipping Operations. Expertise also includes management of Data Centers, Procurement of Lift Trucks, Batteries and other material handling equipment for multiple Warehouses. He is currently Managing Warehouse Facilities including Lift Trucks, Charging Systems, Conveyor, P2V Talkman Units, Racking, Security Services, Expense and Capital Budgets and handling Vendor Relationships. 

Judy Foley, Director at Large

Judy Foley is President and CEO for Navigate Transformation. Industry sector credentials include manufacturing, telecommunications, technology, automotive, insurance, chemicals, consumer products, health care, non-profit and consulting.

Debbie Tworek, VP Social Media

Debbie Tworek is the Corporate Marketing Communications Supervisor with Associated in Addison, IL. She is a results driven marketing professional with over 14 years of experience in the Material Handling / Supply Chain industry. At Associated she develops and executes strategies to interact with their customers and prospects using a variety of marketing channels and tools to get messages out. Some of the channels are: Campaigns via emails and direct mailers, company website, public relations, advertising, sponsorships, collateral, social media, educational webinars, newsletters, events/tradeshows and other various channels.

Associated is a Raymond Lift Truck sales and service center that will also evaluate their client's current methods and processes for storage, order fulfillment, labor and equipment utilization and recommend practical strategies to enhance their effectiveness and reduce overall cost.

Gary Bush, VP Communications
